FOR GOLFERS™
Yoga
for Golfers is an exciting and well thought out Hatha Yoga format.
It’s systematically developed to help golfers address swing
faults, build strength, flexibility and ease. This golf format has
been specially developed by Katherine Roberts to address the golfer’s
needs for improving their game and avoiding golf related injuries.
Pamela
Warshay certified under noted yoga expert Katherine Roberts at her
headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. She brings this unique course
to her Manhattan studio, and to her Golf Fitness Clinics.
The
word “yoga” means "union" or "harmony."
Yoga is a process of both physical and mental training. Yoga poses
or “asanas” improve strength, balance, flexibility,
circulation, breath control and concentration, creating a more fluid
golf swing. The word “hatha” means willful or forceful.
Hatha yoga refers to a set of physically engaging exercises that
are designed to align muscles, bones and connective tissue.
While
improving one’s physicality, yoga helps one practice mental
concentration, which translates to staying focused during golf.
In golf, loss of concentration from being nervous, fatigued or distracted
from outside elements can debilitate one’s game. Physical
therapist Catherine Fiscella notes, “The intent of all the
yoga poses is to bring us into the present moment, taking us away
from the unending chatter of the mind, which can distract us from
the focus required for a flawless golf swing.”
This
program strengths and aligns the body, while clearing the mind.
“My
students have improved their game with this…unique and effective
program..”
